the mozart site which is on everyone's list because it is great. i love this place! make certain to check out the letter sections, which are wonderful. the death portion is interesting too, i admit, it made me cry!
amadeus and its film adaptation
this page was so in depth with its research and analysis into the "amadeus" tale i nearly cried.
that's two sites out of three which have brought me near tears, i have to stop browsing the internet at 2 am, it's getting embarrassing.

"beloved by god" that is what "amadeus" means. i don't know about god, but i sure belove the amadeus film. when i was little it was my most favourite movie. this is a whole site dedicated to the various versions of the schaffer "amadeus" tale. ooh, it even has a forum!

it is a self portrait, drawn by mr. - beg my pardon - herr mozart himself. the floating extended arms, according to the artist, are meant to represent the open arms of constanze (his wife), waiting for him at home.

since mozart is all about the music, here is a corner where you can experience a little bit of his magic. the song will change when the fancy strikes me, but for this round may i present:
a love song for love birds, this piece is from "die zauberflöte" and is when papageno, the birdcatcher and jester of the opera, meets his one true love, papagena. it is so darling!
this particular recording features olaf bär and eva lind of the sir neville marriner recording. bär is my hero and most favourite papageno.
