i see him as very immature in the beginning, but
as more trouble comes he sees that he must grow up.

i thought he was the cute and the most like me.

i like the fact that he is a very free person. he is very loving and funny.
what do you dislike?
nothing.
what do you consider pippin's strongest suit?
his simple mindedness.
what are his weaknesses?
bravery (at the beginning).
to what degree did pippin's tookish nature play into his leaving the shire? was pippin searching for something when he left, or was it purely to help frodo?
it was purely to help frodo.
what purpose did pippin have with the fellowship?
i guess he thought it was the right thing to
do because everyone else joined (frodo, sam, merry).
what would have happened if he had been left behind? how would he be different? how would the others be different?
he probably would have been caught by the sheriffs on his way back to the shire.
how does the grand adventure change pippin?
he becomes more mature and brave.
was pippin unsure of himself at the beginning of the tale?
yes he is, but he isn't. he makes the best of most situations.
does pippin have a hero? who and why?
pippin's hero is probably merry. they are around
each other all the time, you ca tell he kind of looks up to merry (merry is older too).

they were probably very close when they were young.

probably sometimes, but he probably got over it quickly.

gandalf probably thought that he was
a burden at sometimes, but in the return of the king, he kind of guided him.

pippin probably looked up to boromir.

pippin was sad about the death of boromir.

because he was boromir's brother.

merry went to serve theoden so i guess it was
to make it even, one hobbit warrior to rohan, one to gondor.

he was probably an awesome father.

hello leslie from florida. joy! what a fun survey yours was to read. i love how straightforward your answers became after a while. i took to saying, "duh!" after a few because it made them all the more great. ie. "because he was boromir's brother." me: duh!
it was fabulous read. i also like how when you didn't know something you just said, "i don't know." so much better than leaving a blank field i think.
when i first read your answers for pippin's weaknesses and strengths i thought they were reversed! on a second read though, i take it you meant pippin's lack of bravery was a weakness, but still, it's funny. being simple is good and being brave isn't, ho ho. it's an original mode of thought.
two other things:
this answer totally made me laugh out loud, "when gollum bites frodo's finger off. lol." yes!!
