not quiet sure, i mean he defiantly has them, everyone does.

to what degree did pippin's tookish nature play into his leaving the shire? was pippin searching for something when he left, or was it purely to help frodo?

what purpose did pippin have with the fellowship?
he brought strong friendship, humor and curiosity.

what would have happened if he had been left behind? how would he be different? how would the others be different?
merry would be at a loss without his companion, the journey would not be as fun and i think that everyone wouldn't have very much to laugh at. it's important to be able to laugh.

how does the grand adventure change pippin?
he grows up.

was pippin unsure of himself at the beginning of the tale?
i believe so. he had never been away from the shire and all the danger and such makes him more aware of who he was and what he was capable of.

does pippin have a hero? who and why?
not sure.

i would say ever since they were young, and the friendship was made closer.

eh, maybe a little.

that he needed to grow up.

yes, he was hard on him so that pippin would be able to handle the outside world.

the chance to go home or the chance to go forward.

a father figure and guardian.

how did the death of boromir affect pippin?
he had never seen death and it really helped him grow (i know i keep saying that).

why do you think faramir so moved pippin?
not sure.

he felt guilty of the death of boromir because boromir died trying to save the hobbits.

was it appropriate pippin ended up serving denethor, not théoden? why?
