but of course. i really thing i like the return of the
king the most because it was so exciting and it just filled you with happiness at the end.

i have seen the films, but after i read the books. i own
the fotr and ttt and i have seen rotk twice now.
is pippin your favourite character?
meh, pippin is tied but if not a close second with legolas.

describe how you imagine pippin.
i imagined him short and stocky, not so much with
muscle, but with more meat on his bones. i imagined him to have
a round boyish face with very adorable features. i can't really
explain it much more than that.
what was your initial response to pippin's character?
i felt an instant connection with him. him being
so immature and mischievous. things of that nature draw me to people.
what in his character do you like?
his childishness.
what do you dislike?
nothing i can think of at the moment.
what do you consider pippin's strongest suit?
his confidence around merry makes me think of him, merry.
what are his weaknesses?
everything that he does not know much about.
to what degree did pippin's tookish nature play into his leaving the shire? was pippin searching for something when he left, or was it purely to help frodo?
i think searching for himself.
what purpose did pippin have with the fellowship?
he brought humor and strength in packs-ness to the fellowship... i think...
what would have happened if he had been left behind? how would he be different? how would the others be different?

how does the grand adventure change pippin?
i think he goes back home feeling more confident
in himself and just a happier person.
was pippin unsure of himself at the beginning of the tale?
i think so, as i've mentioned before. he was probably
very uneasy about things when he wasn't with merry.
does pippin have a hero? who and why?
hrmmmm... maybe boromir, maybe not, i really don't know. *shrug*

i think he half expected it of him and half not.

i think he felt a little unsure about
him coming in the first place, but after that, i think they had
an uncle nephew kind of relationship.
do you think gandalf was particularly hard on pippin? why?
no. gandalf was stern with him because he wasn't the most well behaved boy.

i think it deeply saddened him. knowing that the reason he died was to save him.

he felt he had a debt to be repaid.
was it appropriate pippin ended up serving denethor, not théoden? why?
because denethor was boromir's father and boromir

maybe because faramir lived and boromir died.

dharma from dharma and greg. i just love
her character to pieces. she's so confident and kind and sweet

honestly, i've never understood the pairing. dude, they're cousins. i hug and love my cousins that doesn't mean i... cough. then again, we are talking hobbits and inbreeding doesn't seem to bother them too much, does it? have you looked at the family trees? holy mother! no wonder they're all so short with big, hairy feet.
"a small blunt fellow" is such a darling description. i want my own character who is a small, blunt little fellow. it gives me such happy visuals.
p.s. when freaky people approach me on the street and ask for my name i lie and say "amelia." it's my fake name of choice! ha. it's like we're twins!
