oh, there's thooooo-sands of sites with images, but these sites are special. these are galleries and nothing else.
the crumpet shop
this place is wonderful, not only because its title gives me interesting
visuals (pippin, merry-go-round, wee) but the proprietress also
donated an image or two to benefit eip's gallery. isn't that right nice?
the site however is not just a gallery (i falsely advertise), it hosts a variety of other
delights. the media section is particularly enticing.
brandyhall.net
ah, andraste, yet another kind, kind, loving soul who donated some
bee-oo-timous images to this here site. be still my beating heart.
her site, though it does have a lovely section highlighting the
featurettes of the fotr dvd, focuses primarily on screencapping
"hetty wainthropp investigates" the english television program
in which dominic monaghan made his acting debut. all i know is, i've read
her captions for each of her caps a million times, yet, if i were to
look at them even now, i would laugh again. they are very humorous.
numenor, le seigneur des anneaux au cinémal
i don't know why i love this place so much. maybe because it's in
french. french things are neat. this is one of the very first galleries
i ever ventured into in my budding days of rampant lotr problems. it's
updated every month or so and is a great archival resource for images.
fantasy planet
if french things are cool, so are czech things. i haven't even dared
attempt look through these image galleries. it would kill me there are
so many pictures. everything you can imagine
is here and more comes in everyday. it is a mind blowing database. very
intense.
bag end inn
i love this place! i really do. it is always up to date with fun and
exciting things concerning all the lotr actors. not only is its writing humorous though, the pictures are most plentiful and lovely. the webmistress is open minded, which
is always a delight and censors nothing, thank goodness. this is a famous
site. if you haven't ever visited you must, it's great.
versaphile
pam of versaphile is so nice. she let eip post a bunch of ttt screencaps back when ttt screencaps were not to be found; at least, this was the
first place i knew about to have capped the entire ttt film, as in not the
teaser trailer, the whole film. her site actually has several cap galleries, fan recommendations, it is just a veritable cornucopia of joy.
also, pam used to run the xfiles multimedia archive. xfiles and lotr? i admit
to liking both. swoon.
lotr image library
need an image? you need look no further now, you have found the hold grail of all lotr images.
