what is the ernil thread? you maybe asking yourself. what is this this section? well, this section is an archive of one of the best threads ever to grace the bb.n forum. the ernil i pheriannath thread. pippin's darker and more serious side.
from the first post one knew this was a thread of a different caliber. it was long insightful and open. in the end, the thread became a grand character analysis of peregrin took.
posters all were of different generational standings, teens to grandparents. the age differences gave each post a unique depth of understanding.
if war was brought up, there was a war veteran to comment, if there was talk about being seventeen, there was someone there who was seventeen to explain how it felt to be confused.
each post had a very specific point of view and, baby, it was good.
it was a unique experience, very special. it was a thread no one expected to exist.
people actually joined the forum to take part in the discussion.
i became quite taken by the thread and when the forum board was to be wiped clean, i jumped at the chance to make an archive version of the ernil thread. as fate would have it, the ernil i pheriannath thread would live on the ernil i pheriannath site! really, i could not let this conversation die without sharing it with more pippin fans.
and so here it is! - to keep inspiring musings on the character peregrin took.
