A fanlisting, is just what its name implies, a listing of fans for a given topic. The concept is the brainchild of one person, Janine. There is only one approved fanlisting per subject and all the approved fanlists make up an immense database at thefanlistings.org, which is manned by volunteers.
This particular fanlisting is for the pop musician Mica Penniman, popularly known as: MIKA.
MIKA ::
MIKA was born Mica Penniman in Beirut, Lebanon August 18th, 1983. He is the middle son of five children born to his Lebanese mother and American father. When MIKA was 9 years old, the family moved to London. There, he experienced trouble in school and so was homeschooled until he attended Westminster School and eventually, the Royal College of Music, which he later left to record his first album.
MIKA's musical ventures have varied from classical performances in the Royal Opera House to writing jingles. His radio debut was on BBC Radio 2 in September 2006. The same year, his first single, "Relax, Take it Easy" was made a limited download release. In 2007, his debut album, "Life in Cartoon Motion" was finally released.
His work has garnered comparisions to such artists such as Freddie Mercury and rumors that he has a vocal range of 5 octaves.
MIKA is very quiet about his private life, refusing to submit to speculations about his sexuality.
Lastly, MIKA chose his professional name, because he was frustrated with people's inability to pronounce his first name.
WHY ::
I caught a glimpse of MIKA on the television before his album was released. He was singing the song, "Grace Kelly" and I just absolutely adored it. I waited until the CD came out and went and purchased it. - The last time that happened was three years ago!
I just adore every song and have enjoyed sharing him with my friends.
One day I was fiddling around on TFL.org and saw the MIKA fanlisting was available so I made the jump. I was so excited, I had never had a modern pop FL before! I loved MIKA, I just had to run this site.
So there it is. I just loved him as a pop artist and hope he does well so I don't have be embarrassed for creating such a teenybopper site!

NAME ::
I didn't have a name for the site at all. I was just going to call it MIKA. Orig. I know. Then I caught the name of the stock-artist who created the paper background. "Enchantedgal." I named my PSD "Enchanted" and ended up so liking the name, it stuck!
