wow. i have become SO incredibly slack here. i'm sorry. i'm just, not fully here at the moment. god! moving out, end of the semester, battling for internships, i'm nuttily busy, but am utterly brain dead. anyhow.p.s. this huge entry is more entertaining for myself, it's really long, and probably really boring, just to warn you- proceed at your own risk.
last friday was the most fun i have had in a long time. i was talking to this girl in my animation class a few weeks ago. this was the flood of nerdness, i don't know if i ever confessed it here- but basically i sat around with her and two other girls and talked, lotr, harry potter and cowboy bebop. this particular girl was saying she was amazed i liked harry potter because i was the first person she had met who did. i told her i thought everyone liked hp. apparently this is not so, because she said no one would see the second movie with her. i was shocked, i mean, deny a hp fan the second film? i told her i would watch it with her.
last friday rolls around and we decide to meet up at 9 to watch our movie.
p.s. when i partay, i partay. oh yeah, let's rock the casbah, let's watch harry potter. how old AM i?
of course, i pass out unconscious until 9 when she calls. then as she was making her way over a baked the world's fastest batch of cookies.
then the fun started.
it was one of those insert your dialog type of evenings which i will never be able to explain, but it was funny. never before did i realize draco's problem was he was in love with ron- which was why he was particularly harsh to little hermione.
i can't wait for book 5! i have to read them all over of course. i have forgotten everything. i read the others when they first came out.
anyhow. the movie ends at about 2.30. my friend, roommate and i are rabbling on and on about the nature of an "extended scene" versus "piece of film from the cutting room," when my friends let's it slip she's never watched fotrex. well my roommate and i just gasped, she had to watch it!
but then... we worried, it would be 5 at least when she left- was it too much?
then somehow- we ended up talking until 5.30 anyhow.
due in part to our downloading such things as this and this. hit "enter" again for that last one once it opens, darn geocities hotlink blocks.
finally, after i announced, well we might as well have watched lotr, since it's over in FIVE MINUTES, i invited my friend to spend the night.
we made a pretend bed on the floor, she borrowed my lollipop jammies, the world was good and all was joyous.
it doesn't sound so funny, but really, it was.
and today! i've just been on one- in my history of alternative animation class, i was bad. when the lights were on, i was fighting back bouts of hysterical laughter and when they were off for a film i was passed out. the giggles began when my friend next to me had a very violent nap-snap in the middle of the lecture. she then rolled her head over to me and said, "i just had the best dream of my life!" all while the teacher is talking. when we went on break i began to laugh and laugh and laugh, so much so, my stomach hurt. it was fabulous. i haven't laughed so much for a long time. then the rest of the class, i couldn't stop. my friend said something about her legs being sausages, which led to us drawing sausage versions of ourselves all over our notes (compleat with sugahbuns for our buns!), slobbering and crying with laughter. we left the class exclaiming, "that was sausage slapping fun!" and "i'm jes a sausage fuller wine."
again, doesn't sound funny to type, but it was great for me.
ho! really, one last thing to end my insanity for today, my other friend and i had a war today. she was keeping secrets. i asked her what music she was using for her animation, she said a soundtrack. i said, yes, from? she: a movie. i: i gathered, which? her: silence.
i then had to take extreme measures and tell her i was going to have to hold her shrek and little mermaid videos hostage until she told me. she then told me would coerce my roommate into handing over the films, i told her not if my bodyguards antony and edmund (from shakespeare plays) could help it. she said then she would send the hobbits- oh! and she knew another secret and wasn't going to tell me (secret: who eddie izzard was).
that was it.
war began and we started calling teams.
who bested who?
you be the judge.
team me: edmund, antony, caesar, eowyn, aragorn, bookfaramir, buffy the vampire slayer, xena, scully, yoda, mozart, storm, ron weasley, dustin hoffman, rosencrantz and guildenstern, catwoman, shrek, tarzan, the beatles - ringo, bob dylan, vivaldi, young elvis, robert stack, jude law, alan rickman, shakespeare, jonny lee miller, colin firth, bridget jones, marge and bart simpson, christian of the moulin rouge, billy boyd, pixar, helen mirren, m. night shylaman, hitchcock, wong kar wai, thomas jefferson, abe lincoln, trinity, eru, the force, zeus, robin williams, the ONE ring, bruce lee, nathan lane, marilyn monroe, jack lemmon, humphrey bogart, spongebob, the matrix, the universe-earth, e.t., my friend casey, jean grey, beast, amelie, tom hanks, leonardo davinci, renoir, degas, picasso
addition team me: prince william.
team her: the hobbits, filmfaramir, eomer, boromir, legolas, elrond, james bond, mulder, obi wan kenobi, ewan mcgregor, spiderman, harry potter, harrison ford, batman, stitch, ringo, barenaked ladies, bach, beethoven, tchaikovsky, southpark kids, robin hood, sean connery, monty python, eddie izzard, jeremy irons, anthony hopkins, bob fosse, homer (writer and simpson), groundskeeper willie, samuel l jackson, dominic monaghan, weta team, industrial light and magic, baz lurhmann, george washington, ben franklin, einstein, jesus, buddah, thor, allah, steve martin, the ring, jackie chan, mike meyers, walter mathau, charlin chaplin, abbot and costello, pen teller, mel brooks, drag queens, earth, scotland, professor x, nightcrawler, roxie and velma, mel gibson, raphael
she claims she won, but i still have her vids, so i say i won. i wrote up a peace treaty and taped it to her door, we'll see. she was better at calling teams, she would think of strong people and i would think of ben from the graduate or the golden girls. for every eomer she had i thought up three wormtongues. still, i think you KNOW my group some kick boo-tay music and theatre and art going on- really ticked however i lost einstein. BLAST!!!
ah, this has to be so boring for anyone reading.

well, big surprise. my internship stood me up. i waited until nine and final conceded to go to my laundry. i then went to the internship co-op office and the lady there left a rather seething ultimatum. now i'm scared the person there will be offended.

hey. let's see, i could apologize for not writing here... but since i don't really feel too sorry and since i don't think many are reading this- let's cut to the chase! hooray!
and probably a million others, but those truly stand out in my head.
last night we watched the graduate. have you guys seen that movie? i love it so much. mrs. robinson is such a horrid, sad woman and benjamin compleatly loses his innocence to her. it's sad. mrs. robinson is so depressive and wretched, she had to bring ben down, and ben was so bored with his life- he let her. if he had only waited, he could have been happy with elaine without all the complications.
p.s. does ben scare anyone else at the end of the film? he's a stalker!
p.p.s. anyone else notice richard dreyfuss in the background of the apartment house asking "should i call the police?" i think it was his first gig.
p.p.p.s. the story of this film, really is the story of the 60's isn't it?
this sunday was also easter. i was invited to my friend's uncle's house for a holiday meal. it was very good, though i think i bit the host's head off. he's the type who doesn't like art, right? feels my friend is throwing away her life studying it and always likes to poke fun at or mock art. anyhow, he was starting up on one of his rolls, saying a person can't make any money in an art field, when i became possessed and lost it.
me: what about people in the movies? don't they make money? what about the actors? acting is an art and some are even over paid- what about the music we're listening too? music is an art, they made money, so did the producers and editors who put out this song- what about these plates? your table cloth, your wallpaper, the painting on the wall, your table, who do you think made them? artists. who designed your shirt? oh my god! an arist! art is everything and there's plenty of money to be made.
end rant.
needless to say, he went out and smoked a cigar after and i didn't see him for the remaining evening. aren't i just the most highclass guest ever? don't think i'll be invited again! still the table applauded me and his wife said, "oh he's had that coming for years! bravo!"
my friend said it was fabulous. still, i felt bad and didn't say anything much else during the dinner.
in other thoughts... hmm. i have to register for classes tomorrow. no, check that, wednesday. i want some drawing classes... there's an acting one too... oh i don't know, it's so involved.
blah.
i'm too much a mess to type just now. call me internship! call or i shall be seething with wrath- foaming at the mouth- so much so i might cry and cry and cry.
p.s. thanks viv, you are a doll and a half!

ah, last friday was one of the most productive days of my life. i mean, i got up, i typed a blog entry, i went to my internship meeting, made contact with the company, got out early, went to the spring art sale, got to animation early, updated all my sites, replied to all my emails, posted in both my news group things, had my animation meeting, dubbed my film over to vhs, picked up a filmfest application, came home, watched dancer in the dark, returned it, went to the grocery store and came home.
well. maybe i can get a new set of towels or something.

ah, here it is friday morning. the last morning of my beautiful week off from school and i am up at 10 am. blast. i'm up early because i have an internship meeting and an animation meeting to attend today. sigh. not looking foreward to either. i don't really even have anything for the intern one. i just have to check up and ask, "what do i do now?" she's going to think i am an idiot.
